Garry Cuthbertson

A true product of the western North Carolina foothills, Garry has been singing and playing guitar since childhood. Raised in Rutherford County, he came of age during the early days of the legendary Green Acres Music Hall—a once-humble cinder block venue that grew into a regional landmark, known for hosting artists like Béla Fleck, Sam Bush, and Jerry Douglas. Immersed in that rich musical atmosphere, Garry developed a deep appreciation for classic country, bluegrass and Americana. Garry’s voice carries the warmth, grit, and soul of the country greats who inspired him, while his guitar work brings rhythm, emotion and texture to every performance. His playing style is both precise and expressive—marked by technique that is uniquely his own.
